Maheen Hamid is passionate about creating platforms for change, be it through paradigm shifts in how business is done or how the needy is served or how stories are told the growing number of media channels. Whether it's in technology or the arts, the focus is on finding a winning idea supported by an equally winning attitude and proven execution skills.  She likes to engage with each idea deeply and help develop methodologies and best practices that align goals and desires. 

Maheen is a Bangladeshi-American, raised in an entrepreneurial family.  She has a depth of experience in deal structuring, project development and operations management for small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations.  Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including electronic design automation, wireless telecommunication, public health, education, retail, clean energy, voluntourism and economic development.  She shares her business acumen through regular contributions to different business journals and forums.

Most recently, Maheen co-founded Breker Verification Systems with her husband, Adnan. Breker is a cutting-edge software start-up in the semiconductor industry, where she serves as CFO.  The company continues to grow its presence in the realm of managing verification knowledge for companies building the most complex semiconductor chips in the world.  Breker has business presence in the US, Europe, Korea and India. 

She serves as Trustee of ASHIC Foundation, a non-profit organization serving the needs of children living with cancer in Bangladesh.  Started by her family in 1994, she has been instrumental in its growth over the years and currently oversees International Relations.  In addition, Maheen also serves on the board of SpaandanB and the Salma-Afzal Trust.
